USABSF Planned Giving Program
Leave a Legacy.
Why Planned Giving?
Every day, our Bobsled and Skeleton athletes give 100% in training in hopes of representing their country, community and families at the pinnacle of their sport. All of our athletes and coaches who participate are giving their all each and every day.
The USA Bobsled and Skeleton Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that strengthens the Bobsled and Skeleton community at every level. We rely on donors like you to expand access and education for the sport, support emerging athletes and training as our elites compete at the pinnacle of Olympic competition. You can support the future of USA Bobsled and Skeleton with a legacy gift.
A planned gift will not impact your current financial situation, but will continue to fund the growth of the sport and prepare our aspiring athletes to compete on the world’s stage for future years.
How to Make a Planned Gift
Planned Giving is an easy way in which an individual can have a profound impact.
Please consult with your financial, legal and tax advisors to advise on your specific giving situation.
-
Bequests are one of the simplest, most impactful, and most popular ways to make a planned gift. They make up over 9% of all charitable giving in the USA.
In order to make a bequest, the donor will simply allocate a portion of their estate to USA Bobsled and Skeleton Foundation In their legal will. These gifts can be allocated as cash, stock or other assets. They can be named as a specific value (i.e. $20,000) or a percentage of the donor’s total estate value (e.g., 10% of an estate of $1 million would be $100,000 to charity.)
-
Donors can name USA Bobsled and Skeleton Foundation as the beneficiary of their life insurance policies or unused retirement assets. These can include individual retirement accounts (IRAs), 401(k)s, 403(b)s, or pensions. Donors simply name the Foundation as the beneficiary of an existing policy or plan.
